we forgot to mention: our gracious host and tourguide, the man responsible for coining the phrase "light lunch at the reichstag" ended up eating:

an ENTIRE chicken

+ baked potatoes
+ salad bar
+ a rivella or something
+ a bun
+ possibly more

(at the reichstag)

in fact, it may have been the unlightest lunch we've ever seen.
